Explore the ocean blue in search of humpback whales during this 7 night and 8 day adventure. With airport pick ups and drop offs, meals provided by a chef, free WIFI and AC, you will be able to photograph and be photographed with these amazing animals with no worries about planning the nitty gritty. Enjoy 5 days on the water searching for humpback whales and even enjoy being picked up right at the properties ocean front dock. Each night you will return to luxurious accommodations at our beautiful and modern home which will surely make you feel right at home.

Tonga in it self is a unique and special place. Vava’u, a chain of islands that rings this small island nation and creates calm, protected waters for marine life, in fact it is one of the best places in the world to see Humpback Whales!

This home is for those who want to feel the vibe of living with the whales. Enjoy Polynesian and Mayan decor, all of which have been thoughtfully sourced and curated. Prepare your mind and body to embark on this truly unique experience. We want to give you a home in which you can truly immerse yourself in the experience of swimming with whales. The home is designed around a North Sea theme and offers all the amenities you need while on holiday. This beautiful home is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms you will surely be comfortable. Your meals will be provided by in house each day and we have a great understanding of your nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, as well as which ingredients are available locally. Your trip guide and photographer has many years of experience and has built unique relationships with the locals to ensure you have the best experience from the home you stay in to the boat you embark in your adventures.

🦈 Meet Olivia, our passionate ocean conservationist hailing from the picturesque state of Montana. Driven by a deep love for sharks, Olivia followed her heart to the shores of Hawaii, where she now resides as a marine scientist, underwater photographer, shark diver, and naturalist. Working with Hawaiian Adventures Kona, Olivia educates and inspires guests daily, fostering awareness about the ocean and its magnificent wildlife. Her journey with Ocean Outcasts began in 2021 during our signature whale shark expedition to Mexico, and she returned in 2022, leaving an indelible mark on our team.

🚢 Captain Andrew Aggergaard, a true seafarer raised on the pristine waters of the Salish Sea in Washington State, brings a wealth of experience to our team. Captivated by ocean ecosystems since a young age, Andrew is not only an accomplished boat operator, photographer, and marine naturalist but also a passionate advocate for the preservation of our delicate ocean environments. Guiding ocean enthusiasts off the coast of Kona, Hawai'i, Captain Andrew's mission is to showcase the ocean's beauty through in-person expeditions and captivating photography projects, instilling an "ocean-first" mindset in everyone he encounters.

Together, Olivia and Captain Andrew form the dynamic duo leading you on an unforgettable week expedition to Tonga. Get ready to be immersed in the magic of the ocean, learn about its wonders, and create lifelong memories with the Ocean Outcasts team. Let the adventure begin!

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrivals

Fly into VAV airport. Olivia & Andrew will arrange your airport pick up with you prior to your arrival. Check in begins at 11 AM. Snacks and dinner with be provided as well as welcome drinks upon arrival! Spend the evening catching up on z's, unpacking, and getting to know everyone in your group!

Day 2: Recoup & Rest

Spend the day getting your body acclimated to the new time difference. Get your camera gear and dive gear ready for the most epic adventure of your life. Enjoy meals in our beautiful home, take a dip off our dock, or simply just relax and enjoy the view.

Day 3: Humpback Whales

You will experience a once in a lifetime experience. Humpback whales are some of the most majestic sought out creatures on this planet. To have the opportunity to dive in and swim with them is an experience you will never forget. Plan depart the house around 7AM, the boat will pick us up from the dock on property. The boat is equipped with shade, a toilet, neoprene coats, snorkel gear and wetsuits if needed, lunch, snacks, and beverages. We plan to be on the water until 3-4PM so plan ahead and bring what you need.

Day 4: Dive, Dive, Dive

Dive in and swim with humpback whales. Plan leaves at 7AM and return to the dock around 3PM. The boat is equipped with shade, a toilet, neoprene coats, snorkel gear and wetsuits if needed, lunch, snacks, and beverages. Spend the day swimming and enjoying the ocean blue we all know and love. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Day 5: Another Day, Another Dive

Our epic adventure continues with 2 more days of diving in paradise. After three full days of diving, it's still not even close to being enough! We've got humpback whales and cave diving to look forward to. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Day 6: Let's Do It Again

We will depart the house around 7AM and head to boat that is waiting for us. Once we get on board, snacks, beverages and lunch will be served as we begin our journey out to sea. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Day 7: Last Day Magic

Today is your last day to cruise with the humpback whales! You’ve seen so much this week, including several whales and their calves. Join the crew for a final full day on the water, followed by a group dinner and special toast of celebration.

Day 8: The Journey Home

Hannah & John will arrange your airport drop off based on your flight time. Enjoy one final group breakfast before departures begin.
